In loving memory of Leona Lapointe-Comeau, a long-time resident of Whitehorse, Yukon.
Leona passed away unexpectedly at Vancouver General Hospital on October 05, 2017 at the age of 68.
Leona moved to the Yukon in 1982. After she retired from her career in records at YG - the last at Family and Children Services - she devoted her time to visiting with her family and friends, gardening, making preserves, and reading.
Leona is survived by her beloved children Michelle (Calvin) and Clifford (Tricia); grand-children Nicolas (Ashley), Danny (Carrie), Bryton (Emily), and Brooklyn; the father of her children Albert Comeau; as well as several brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, numerous friends, and Maggie, her canine friend of many years.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on October 14 at Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre located at 1 Sumanik Drive, in Whitehorse.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Share the Spirit Christmas Hamper program.
