Laura Adele Mann

Laura Adele Mann was born on September 27, 1958 in Toronto, Ontario. She was raised in Brantford, Ontario. She attended Carleton University in Ottawa. Laura worked at the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Alberta from 1988-2004. During this season of her life, she took a year off to care for her parents. After they passed on, she worked a year for the Halifax Archives. Laura successfully applied for the Executive Director position of the Dawson Museum, where she worked for many years.
In 2016 she was diagnosed with cancer and fought the disease for four years. Laura quietly passed away on September 8, 2019.
Laura was the daughter of Martial Doucette and Therese Senecal. She is survived by her sisters, Monique and Claudette, her brother, Robert; and, her loving partner, James Herbert Archibald.
Friends and family are invited to attend her Celebration of Life on September 20, 2019 at 2 pm at the Moose Mountain Chalet. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
