Katya was a Yukoner for 13 years then moved to Vancouver.
Katya was a beautiful, brilliant and vibrant Mother to her loving son Chayton.
She loved to travel and had many talents such as music, organic gardening, cooking and baking. Kayta lived in her faith for a better life and as Chayton described, she was the bravest and most passionate person ever.
Kayta is remembered by her son Chayton Skye, mother Joan Schumacher of Vancouver, Uncle David Beloud in Whitehorse and several other family members.
