November 1, 1968 - June 4, 2020
Kari-Anne was born November 1, 1968 in Yellowknife NWT. Our warrior Kari-Anne lost her courageous battle with cancer on June 4, 2020 at the age of 51, at the Whistle Bend Palliative Care Facility in Whitehorse YT with her "Rock" husband Don Stubbs by her side.
Kari-Anne is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Don Stubbs. Her parents Judith Deacon (mother), Wayne Curry (father) and wife Brenda Bussard Curry, Del Curry (brother) wife Dawn and family, Kelee' Curry (sister) and family, Makani (nee Curry) Appleby (sister) and family, Kelly Kirby (stepbrother), Fred and Betty Stubbs (in-laws), Elaine Stubbs (sister in-law) and family, Dave (brother in-law) and Tracey Stubbs and family.
Kari-Anne loved to travel with a passion. She enjoyed long walks on the beach with the sun on her face and the sand in her toes. Time spent with her friends was always precious to Kari-Anne, whether it be for Survivor night, drinks or just hanging out in the sun. She always enjoyed spending time with her "Rock"...husband Don Stubbs and going for rides on their motorcycle.
Don would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses and Care Providers for all of the support and amazing care that was given to Kari-Anne. Also heartfelt gratitude to all of Kari-Anne's family and friends for your love and support during Kari-Anne's battle with cancer and during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held for Kari-Anne at a later date.
