It is with great sadness we are announcing the passing of Jack. Our Jack was a gentleman, a quiet thinker. He had kind, blue eyes that smiled. Jack was a sincere hard-working man. He was a man with integrity. Pride and Respect were very important to Jack.
Jack attended NAIT with Richard Kerr who encouraged him to come to "The Yukon" with a 4 month old baby. He then started a career as a Power Lineman.
Jack achieved all of his dreams. He lived a life of adventure, from the railroad, to horses, the oil patch, to lineman. Jack enjoyed his boat on the lakes of the Yukon Territory and the ocean in B.C. He put his own power pole on his property overlooking the ocean and took such pride in building his new home.
He will be missed dearly by his loving wife Ann- Marie and his daughter Emily Joanne (Bryton) who he adored and was so proud
of her achievements in nursing.
Jack was predeceased by his father Harold R. Weir, his mother Audrey M. Weir and his brother Russell L. Weir.
Cristina and Carmen Weir had a special bond with their uncle. They were his sweeties.
He will be remembered by his brothers Robert (Kenda), Norm (Joanne), Howard (Judy), Ann-Marie's sister Mary Jayne Lissack (Patrick Stenne) and their children, as well as his several nieces, nephews and their children.
Friends were like family to Jack. You know who you are. The bond and shenanigans you got up to gave him laughter and love. Jack was a beautiful, handsome, loving man and we are all blessed to have him in our lives. We hold him close within us.
An announcement will be made next summer for friends (and strangers he would love to have met) can join us at Kusawa Lake to celebrate a life so beautifully lived in Jack's Honor.
Ann-Marie would love to hear your memories & stories of Jack.
