It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jenna Belle Stubenberg to a life long ailment associated to her early diagnosis of Mitochondrial myopathy.
Jenna was Born in Watson Lake on May 21, 1992. A beautiful little daughter, granddaughter and niece joined the family.
Jenna loved music, especially Shania Twain and Great Big Sea. She took immense pleasure in baths and visits to the swimming pool. Her time at Freedom Trails riding horses was an activity that she enjoyed. Jenna had a great smile and fantastic thick hair that she enjoyed swinging when in a ponytail. Just her existence invited lovely people into our support bubble joining the family in caring for this amazing little girl.
Jenna brought her grandmothers, Netta and Joyce, two very dynamic women together as they both helped care for her in her earlier years. We are forever grateful for Ulla with Child Development Centre, Marge at Watson Lake Elementary school, both for their years of love and dedication. When the difficult decision was made to send Jenna to Whitehorse, we were fortunate that Tennette and Ivan opened their hearts for her years in high school and throughout her time at Copper Ridge Place.
We would like to thank the staff at Copper Ridge, and all the people who worked so hard to make Jenna's life as fulfilling as possible.
She will be missed by parents Dalyce and John Stubenberg, sister Kiera, brother Mitcheal, and lots of extended family.
There will be a joint celebration of life for Jenna and her grandmother, Netta DesRosiers on Sunday, July 28th at the Signpost Seniors Centre in Watson Lake from 11 am - 3 pm Refreshments and light lunch will be served.
