It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of James (Jimmy) Albert Kemshead on November 24, 2024.
Predeceased by his parents (Albert & Evelyn), his sister (Karen), and brother (William).
Jim leaves behind his wife (Patricia), daughters (Krista, Carrie, & Amy) and his grandchildren (William & Rosemary).
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Jim moved to the Yukon in the 90's. Jim quickly fell in love with the people and the natural beauty of the Yukon.
Jim had a passion for connecting with and entertaining others. Jim never missed an opportunity to bring his larger than life character to any setting.
Jim's love for the Yukon and passion for people led him to work for the Yukon government for many years in tourism. Jim loved meeting people from all around the globe and showcasing all the beautiful things the Yukon has to offer.
Jim will be deeply missed by his family, and many of his Yukon and industry friends.
There will be no official service held. We encourage all to gather with their friends and have one last drink for Jimmy, just as he would've wanted.
