October 1, 1946 - February 10, 2025

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Frank Jurak on February 10, 2025, at the age of 78. He was a man of intelligence, wit, and resilience - never one to waste words, but always ready with sharp insight, sound advice, or a well-placed joke. His presence shaped the lives of those around him, and he will be deeply missed.

Born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1946, Frank was an artist and craftsman at heart. Trained in industrial arts, he worked with his hands his entire life - whether designing, restoring, or creating. After immigrating to Canada in 1982, he and his family made their home in the Yukon, where he worked as a Restoration and Reproduction Specialist for the Yukon Government. In his spare time, he built his own house, restored cars, and took on countless projects, always using his skill and ingenuity to solve any problem before him.

Frank is survived by his wife, Kristina, his children, Kriszti and Atti, his grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex, & Kiki, his sister Helen, and many friends & family who cherished him. His legacy lives on in the work he created, the lessons he passed down, and the lasting mark he left on those who knew him.

The family welcomes any stories, photos, or memories from those who knew him. Please feel free to reach out at yukonfjurak@gmail.com

Rest peacefully, Papa. Your hands shaped not only beautiful works of art but also the lives of those you loved. You will never be forgotten.
