We are saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth Wiebe of Whitehorse.
Elizabeth Clara (Sibley) Wiebe was born on January 18, 1924 to parents Henry and Emma Sibley and passed away peacefully on March 17, 2018 in Whitehorse hospital.
"Liz" is predeceased by her husband, Neil, her parents Henry and Emma, sisters Dorothy and Evelyn, son Lawrence, daughter Dorilla and grandson Fraser.
She is survived by her sister Ruth, her children, Louise, Marcia, Marjorie, Bert and Ted, stepson Ted, 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and their families, close friends, and members of both her creative writing family and her senior community.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported "Liz" in her final journey.
Thank you to her doctors and nurses, both at the Clinic and at the hospital where she received wonderful care.
By request, Liz has asked for no funeral or flowers and that she be remembered by feeding the birds, supporting animal rescue programs and protecting the environment.
