It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Cassandra Crayford (Troberg), at the age of 63, on May 26, 2020.
Wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Born on July 28, 1956, Cassandra is predeceased by parents Walter and Madalon Troberg. She married the love of her life Gerald Crayford on September 9, 1972.
She will forever be missed by her husband, Gerry Crayford; daughter Vikki Loewen (Corrie); son Lawrence Crayford (Julie); grandchildren Nicolas, Blake, Alexa and Lincoln; great-grandson Ryder; sister Jannice Troberg (Terry); brother Harvey Troberg (Judy); brother-in-law Barry Crayford (Susan); niece Michelle Troberg (John); nephews Christopher (Rian) Johnson & Timothy Crayford; great-niece Maggie. She will also be missed by many extended family and all of her friends, near and far.
Cassandra was born and raised in Dawson City, Yukon. She worked for the Northern Canada Power Commission (NCPC), Yukon Electric and Yukon Energy, right here in her hometown for 36 years.
Cassandra was a leader with strong family values. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and the loves of her life. She taught us to fight for what we believe, work hard no matter what and to always love yourself for just being you. Her generosity, love and wisdom will live on forever in everyone's hearts she touched.
All of us that knew and loved Cassandra are left with her love and memories to cherish forever.
We will never forget how she taught us to be the person we are today.
The family would like to thank the Dawson City Medical Center, Whitehorse General Hospital Chemotherapy staff, the Emergency Room staff and Yukon EMS for their incredible care and compassion to both Cassandra and Gerry.
