On August 21, Carle passed away peacefully at the age of 71. Before coming to the Yukon over 40 years ago, Carle was a professional chef. Once here he drove taxi and worked for a number of years at the 98 Hotel where he made many friends, including one year participating in Rendezvous as Sourdough Sam.
Despite failing health and a limited income, Carle was very generous to his friends. He will be remembered for this generosity and his indomitable spirit in the face of the challenges of limited mobility.
May he have found peace at last.
