A caring mother, grandmother, sister, educator and friend, passed away on April 22, 2023, in Whitehorse, at the age of 74. She was predeceased by her parents, Doug and Marjorie Macrae, her brother Graham, and her sister Janet.
Barbara was born on February 27, 1949, in Vancouver, and spent her childhood there. She graduated from the University of Victoria and began her teaching career in Whitehorse, where she taught for several years. She eventually moved to Watson Lake, where she continued to teach until her retirement in 2009. She lived out her retirement in Whitehorse.
A funeral service for Barbara will be held at the United Church in Whitehorse starting at 2 pm on Saturday, April 29th. The service will also be streamed on the Whitehorse United Church's Facebook page.
