The Yukon government has hired a third psychiatrist. She is to start work in March.
Dr. Pauweliena Laureijs signed a three-year contract to provide continuing care and mental health services. She will also serve several rural Yukon communities.
Laureijs currently lives in Sydney, Nova Scotia, where she provides mental health care to seniors in nursing homes and to patients at the local hospital.
