The Bob Park's Opening Tournament signals the start of broomball season, bringing multiple teams from across Whitehorse at the Takhini Arena for a weekend of competition

The 2024 Bob Park's Opening Tournament marks the start of the Yukon broomball season at Takhini Arena, drawing teams from across Whitehorse to compete.

The tournament began on Thursday with the G-P Dredgers facing the Porkchops at 6 p.m., followed by Ridge Pub against Ozall Fireballers at 7 p.m. The Yukon Built Wookies then played P&M Crushers at 8 p.m., with Ridge Pub making a second appearance against IRP Thunder in the final round of the evening at 9 p.m.

Friday's action includes Ozzall Fireballers versus IRP Thunder at 6 p.m., Yukon Built Wookies against the Porkchops at 7 p.m., Ridge Pub versus P&M Crushers at 8 p.m., and G-P Dredgers facing Yukon Built Wookies at 9 p.m.

Looking ahead, the tournament will wrap up on Saturday with final round-robin matches between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
