A Whitehorse woman is facing charges of assault after plainclothes police officers observed her hitting a man during the afternoon of May 9. The assault happened at the intersection of Wood Street and Second Avenue.

A Whitehorse woman is facing charges of assault after plainclothes police officers observed her hitting a man during the afternoon of May 9. The assault happened at the intersection of Wood Street and Second Avenue. The accused, a 40-year-old Whitehorse woman, was arrested and found to be breaking a court order. The man, a 31-year-old Whitehorse resident, was also arrested and found to be breaking a court order. Both individuals had been drinking alcohol, said Const. Christine Grant with the Whitehorse detachment. There were no serious injuries.
