Whitehorse man missing

Yukon RCMP are trying to locate a missing person. David Layzell, a Whitehorse resident, was reported missing by family members on Monday.

David Layzell, a Whitehorse resident, was reported missing by family members on Monday.

He was last seen 12 days earlier, on August 13.

The 67-year-old man was intending to drive to the Clear Creek Road area between Stewart Crossing and Dawson City.

He was travelling in a green 2000 GMC Sierra extended cab pickup, with Brandy, the family’s golden Lab.

The vehicle’s licence plate number is ATS68.

Layzell is Caucasian with hazel eyes, white hair and a white beard.

He is about 1.8 metres tall and weighs around 109 kilograms.

Anyone who may have seen Layzell or have any information in regards to his whereabouts is asked to contact the RCMP. (Chris Oke)
