An inmate was stabbed in Whitehorse Correctional Centre Friday evening.
The man, 28, was stabbed several times during a fight with two other inmates.
He was taken to hospital and treated for injuries that RCMP say are “non-life threatening” before being returned to prison later that evening.
Police have released no names and have not yet pressed charges, pending further investigation.
A 44-year-old Whitehorse woman has been arrested for stabbing her husband early Saturday.
Police responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. to find a man, 48, who had been stabbed several times inside a downtown residence.
He was taken to hospital and treated. The injuries posed no threat to his life, say RCMP.
Police arrested the man’s wife and held her in custody until she appeared in court.
