Watson Lake boy killed in collision

An 11-year-old boy died in Watson Lake Wednesday after a pickup truck collided with his dirtbike.

An 11-year-old boy died in Watson Lake Wednesday after a pickup truck collided with his dirtbike.

Watson Lake RCMP responded to a report of a collision on Airport Road between the truck and the dirtbike around 6 p.m.

The boy died as a result of his injuries, police said in a press release.

Yukon RCMP’s collision analyst and an accident reconstruction expert attended the scene.

The death is being investigated by the Yukon Coroner’s Service and Watson Lake RCMP.
