An all-night standoff ended peacefully Saturday morning in Riverdale.
Police arrested a 26-year-old male and a 22-year-old female at a residence on Stewart Road at 9:30 a.m.
Whitehorse RCMP, including members of the police dog service and the emergency response team, responded to a firearms complaint shortly after 1 a.m. that morning.
Officers remained on the scene through the night until the arrests were made at 9:30 a.m., according to an RCMP news release.
Many details of the incident remain unknown, such as how many detachment members responded to the call, whether the suspects have been charged and what kind of weapons were involved.
The RCMP is continuing its investigation and could not be reached for comment this morning.
