A 22-year-old Whitehorse resident was arrested for allegedly raping a woman during the Dawson City Music Festival this weekend.
Police were called to the downtown core Sunday morning by a woman who alleged she was sexually assaulted.
Jonathan George Cardinal was detained soon after and formally charged.
The victim, who is also from Whitehorse, was treated at the Dawson City Health Services Centre.
Police believe alcohol and other drugs were involved.
