Whitehorse RCMP have arrested a second man in connection to an assault that left a Whitehorse man in serious but stable condition at a Vancouver hospital.
A 19-year-old Whitehorse man has been charged with aggravated assault. He appeared in territorial court on Sept. 27. He had been held in custody since Sept. 22. He faces additional charges from an unrelated incident.
On Sept. 21, police were called to Hanna Cres. in the McIntyre subdivision. A 48-year-old man was found outside, unconscious, with severe injuries. After being taken to Whitehorse General Hospital, he was flown to Vancouver for treatment. His name is not being released at this time.
Police arrested another man in connection to the assault on Sept. 25. He appeared in court and remains in custody.
