On July 12, Yukon RCMP issued a release saying all possible areas of recovery had been searched. Aircraft and boats were used to search the area, but poor weather made it difficult. The search will continue once water levels in the river drop, the release said.

Dawson City RCMP had no additional information available before press time.

The Klondike town’s Mounties received a call about an overturned canoe and missing paddler on July 7. The missing canoeist was last seen about 100 kilometres south of Dawson City wearing black pants, a black fleece and a red personal flotation device.
