A Whitehorse man is in serious but stable condition in a Vancouver hospital following an assault this weekend.
Whitehorse RCMP arrested a man in connection to the assault on Tuesday.
On Friday night, police were called to Hanna Crescent in the McIntyre subdivision. A 48-year-old man was found outside, unconscious and with severe injuries. After being taken to Whitehorse General Hospital, he was flown by air ambulance to Vancouver for treatment.
The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
He is a member of the Liard First Nation but lives in Whitehorse.
The arrested man will appear in Territorial Court today.
The investigation is ongoing, the RCMP said.
