A portion of Third Avenue in downtown Whitehorse will be closed tonight as the Canadian Filipino Association of the Yukon holds a prayer vigil to honour the victims of the Lapu Lapu Day attack, which took place on April 26 in Vancouver.
The vigil will be held outside the association's building at 2250 Second Avenue.
The road closure will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The area affected is the north end of Third Avenue. City of Whitehorse bylaw services will be providing traffic control for the duration of the event.
