Convicted sexual offender David John Malcolm has been released from prison and is serving his probation in Whitehorse, said RCMP.

Malcolm, 28, was released last Friday and is considered at high risk to re-offend against children. Malcolm will be under probation for the next eight years with a strict set of conditions.

Malcolm is banned from public parks, swimming pools, daycares, community centres and any establishment where alcohol is sold. He isn’t permitted to contact anyone under 18 and cannot work at any job where he would be in a position of authority over people under 14 years of age.

Anyone with knowledge that Malcolm has breached his conditions are advised to contact the RCMP immediately.

Malcolm is 1.73 meters tall, weighs 62 kilograms and has a small tattoo of a cross under his left eye.
