The death of Gordon Ross Seybold is being investigated as a homicide, says Whitehorse RCMP.
The remains of the 63-year-old Ibex Valley man were found when firefighters and police responded to a house fire in the Ibex Valley area on March 26.
“The preliminary investigation has determined that the circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious and are continuing to investigate the matter as a homicide,” said a release issued Monday.
“At this time, the investigation leads police to believe that this is an isolated incident, and that the public is safe.”
