A man considered a high-risk offender was arrested by Whitehorse RCMP on Thursday for breaching parole conditions.
David Johnny Malcolm is accused of having consumed alcohol, in breach of his parole conditions.
Malcolm was most recently released from prison on August 17. Malcolm was convicted in 2005 of sexual assault with a weapon.
Members of the Crime Reduction Unit monitored Malcolm’s house for “a brief period” before making the arrest without incident.
Malcolm is to appear in court today.(John Thompson)
