A Yukon government report on heating oil system problems in the North will be released this week.
The report was supposed to be released in October.
The Yukon News submitted a request for the report one month ago under the Access to Information and Privacy Act. The request was denied because of the pending release of the report.
Many furnaces have been experiencing problems since the fuel industry switched to low-sulphur fuel.
Several fuel companies assert the problems are due to poor servicing of the stoves.
There have been so many complaints that the Energy, Mines and Resources Energy Solutions Centre conducted a study into the issue.
The report was delayed because the Energy Solutions Centre had trouble co-ordinating its release with the schedule of the consultant who wrote the document.
