A small grizzly bear is roaming the Takhini and Porter Creek neighborhoods.
The bear is looking for garbage and other human debris, said Environment Yukon in a news release.
Officials are attempting to catch the bear for relocation. He’s been seen near Yukon College, Arnhem Crescent and Ponderosa Drive.
Conservation officers are checking the bear traps regularly today.
Anyone who sees the bear should call 1-800-661-0525 for 24-hour service, or directly to Environment Yukon offices at 667-5652 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
