Two men were rescued from a floatplane last week after it crashed and overturned shortly after takeoff on Teslin River.

Teslin RCMP, with the help of conservation officers, rescued a 74-year-old man from Vancouver and a 42-year-old man from the Czech Republic on Sept. 10 shortly around 5 p.m.

The men were sitting on the floats of the overturned plane when police arrived on scene near Nisutlin Bay, according to an RCMP news release. They were not hurt.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the accident to determine its cause.
