A family in Pelly Crossing has lost everything they own after an accidental fire this week.
The house, in the Jon Ra Subdivision, burned to the ground on the evening of Sept. 9.
Police and the local volunteer fire department were called to the scene. But when they arrived the home was already fully engulfed in flames, the RCMP said.
A mother and two children escaped the blaze unharmed.
The fire has been ruled accidental.
A joint investigation with the RCMP and Yukon fire marshal determined the likely cause of the fire was an insulation issue in the attic space and the chimney, police say.
