On July 30, RCMP said Maverick Blackburn was located deceased. RCMP said that any further information would come via the BC Coroners Service.

Dease Lake RCMP are asking the public to help find Maverick Blackburn, missing since July 24.
His disappearance was reported to the RCMP on July 26.
Maverick is a 21-year-old Indigenous man with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5’7 and around 180 lbs. When he was last seen, he was wearing black jeans, brown boots and a grey and blue long-sleeved shirt.
An RCMP notice circulated to Yukon media on July 29 notes that Blackburn may have ties to the Yukon.
Anyone with any information regarding Blackburn’s whereabouts should immediately contact Dease Lake RCMP at 250-771-4111, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
