There’s been a bit of a shuffle at Whitehorse City Hall over the past few months.

City manager Stan Westby has been on medical leave since early April. Brian Crist has taken over as acting city manager. Clive Sparks is now the acting director of operations and infrastructure. Kevin Lyslo is taking over as acting fire chief.

It is not known how long Westby will be on leave and details of the leave are confidential, city spokesperson Gaelle Wells said in an email last week. But nothing has been put on hold because of his absence, she said.

Westby started as the city manager last August after coming from Powell River, B.C.
