Update Jan. 14, 8:10 p.m:

According to the RCMP, Hamilton Boulevard has reopened as of 7:40 p.m.

Original Story:

Whitehorse RCMP say that Hamilton Boulevard is closed to southbound traffic going from the McIntyre Drive traffic circle to Falcon Drive, due to a motor vehicle collision under investigation, according to a release from RCMP.

The release, sent to local media at 4:22 p.m., advises people to access Copper Ridge and Granger via Robert Service Way.

Calista MacLeod, spokesperson for the Whitehorse RCMP, said the collision was reported at around 3:25 p.m. She said a traffic analyst is on scene and it is not yet clear when the road will be reopened.
