Body of missing Ontario man identified

The body of a man recovered from the Nisutlin River on July 12 has been identified as Joseph Adelard Tremblay. Tremblay, 53, went missing in June.

The body of a man recovered from the Nisutlin River on July 12 has been identified as Joseph Adelard Tremblay.

Tremblay, 53, went missing in June. He was last seen paddling a red canoe towards the Nisultin Delta on the evening of June 13. The canoe was recovered on June 19.

Tremblay moved to Teslin from Thunder Bay, Ont., in May. He worked as a cook at the Yukon Motel.

Yukon’s coroner continues to investigate what caused Tremblay’s death.
