American motorcyclist dies south of Dawson City

New wave of theft in Whitehorse Whitehorse RCMP is investigating another rash of thefts that took place in Whitehorse over the last two weeks.

A 69-year old American man died on Monday morning after he crashed his motorcycle one kilometre south of the Tintina Trench viewpoint.

Dawson RCMP wouldn’t say what the motorcycle crashed into, citing the fact the matter was under investigation.

The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Dawson City RCMP won’t release his name until the next of kin is notified.

They’re asking for the public’s help, as they’re trying to get in touch with the male driver of a brown pickup truck who may have assisted at the scene.

To contact Const. Katrina Harnett, the agent in charge of the file, call 993-2677.
