Yes, this is a Dawson City building of the recent past.
As I mentioned before, for one reason or another, such as safety concerns, buildings like this were removed.
It was torn down a few years ago. It’s a shame because a building like this told a story by its very presence.
They lent a kind of ghost-like elegance to the town.
I love to sketch and photograph Dawson’s relics of the past just like many other artists and photographers have.
Visitors and history buffs don’t come to Dawson City to see its current modern, new buildings.
As for this building, there was a rumour that, at one time, it was a bakery.
