VIDEO: Whitehorse school is spookiest place in the Yukon for annual haunted house

Wood Street Centre's Music Arts and Drama program staged their annual haunted house from Oct. 25-30

Wood Street Centre in Whitehorse was the spookiest place in the Yukon again as the school’s Music Arts and Drama (MAD) program put on its annual haunted house.

Entitled The Witch Hunt, this year’s haunted house and accompanying theatre performance plumbed the puritanical past for inspiration. In the story brought to the stage and to the haunted house in the school’s halls, a coven of witches roams free leading the community where it is set to bring a group of young women before their judge.

Who is possessed by the witches? Who is innocent and wrongly accused? What will be their fate? Audience members at shows held Oct. 25, 26 and 27 had to seek answers to these questions as they traversed the haunted house.

There will be one more show held Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the Wood Street Centre office during school hours.
