Seabridge Gold is starting to file its application for an environmental assessment certificate and a federal environmental impact statement for its KSM gold-copper-silver project in B.C.

The filing process begins when the company sends its 25,000-page document. That is not a misprint: yes, 25,000-page document. This is a five-year process that costs $146 million dollars.

They have not made a dime selling any metals - not a single dime, but have had to spend multi-millions of dollars just to comply to some rules that I see as absurd, of no benefit, except to the bureaucracy. By the way, it is this bureaucratic regime which you and I have to pay via our taxes.

Mining is not brain surgery, but mining! People, I think it is time to wake up and look at the direction we are headed! It does not look good for my remaining days on this earth, but more importantly it’s not promising at all for my grandchildren.
