A while ago, I pointed out to News columnist Al Pope that if the whole thing was about oil, why doesn’t the US invade Saudi Arabia?
That’s where the oil is.
The only thing he could come back with was, “It’s still about oil!” Weak, if you ask me.
I might point out that more Canadians are dying in Vancouver than Afghanistan, and for what? For a lot of them, it’s drugs.
Unfortunately, they take innocent people with them, just like the Taliban do.
You can bet your bottom dollar, if we weren’t there the Afghan rulers would not be rethinking laws that oppress women.
I support our troops. I receive letters back. They say something different than Pope. Only thing is, he’s not there - so I believe them.
