I want to thank Whitehorse for being host to Hockey Day in Canada this year.
It was a great way to spend a Saturday.
They made a point of including visuals that I haven’t seen since I was privileged enough to visit your great city this past December. Very moving.
I even got to see my very special lady in the background while Ron MacLean was talking at the Canada Games Centre. And, it turns out, while I was in Whitehorse before, I stayed in the very same subdivision MacLean grew up in. Who knew?
To those who worked hard to bring the event to Whitehorse (during a segment, one of the organizers said there were hundreds of volunteers), I thank you. The producers made an excellent decision choosing your community.
Hockey Day in Canada only re-inforced in my mind many of the things there are to love about your community.
That makes me even happier about my decision to move there.
That’s right Whitehorse, I’m coming back.
See you soon
