What a shame that Tipplers is closing.
I talked to a Calgarian who was in Whitehorse in the summer. She said she and her friend thought Tipplers was definitely the best nightspot in town. Places like that should be given help to stay open or move, if necessary. It was fostering good words about Whitehorse via tourists, not to mention hosting acts for the music awards. The sudden closure of a desirable spot with no announced replacement address is not supportive of a successful businessperson who is attracting an appreciative crowd of locals and tourists.
The article said a bar would be opening - I bet it won’t be as popular as I heard Tipplers was.
