This is a message for the person who climbed on top of the Legion building, at 306 Alexander Street and acquired our Canadian flag.

I can understand your deep patriotic feeling in absolutely wanting a Canadian flag to show your support for our troops, maybe, or your feeling proud to be Canadian.

Of course at that time of night, that being the night of Saturday to Sunday, there are simply no stores open that will sell you a Canadian flag, so I really understand your deep patriotic feeling of being stuck without that flag that you simply must have.

Hey, when one has need to show the flag, one must have that flag.

Well, I hope you enjoy it and fly it proudly.

Where is it now? I would go by and salute it.

Should you wish a replacement flag in the near future, please contact me at the Legion.

I am so proud that you want to fly the flag, but next time, rather than going through all the problem of fixing a pallet as a ladder, and taking the chance of killing yourself, please talk to me. I do not really have time to visit you at Whitehorse General Hospital.

Red Grossinger, president

Whitehorse Legion
