I would like to go on record about the city’s public meeting.
The city’s lift did not work properly so three wheelchair users could not present in person. They phoned us to let us know.
We sent in our presentation by e-mail.
Thank you, Bernice Montgomery for reading two out of the three presentations. At the end of the public part of the meeting, the administrative staff mentioned that there were three presentations sent by e-mail.
What angered us was they didn’t mentioned that it was their fault for not inspecting the lift before the public meeting. They didn’t even apologize. This would have made the bitter pill easier to swallow.
