I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing old guard of the Yukon Party for leaving exactly what they brought - nothing.
Let me rephrase that: they brought nine years of corrupt government which hopefully will end now with some honest politicians getting into the YTG legislature. Saying that they are leaving as winners because of a booming Yukon economy is a false claim as it has more to do with world metal prices and tourism from things like Hockey Day in Canada and the Canada Winter Games.
The Liberal party is rebuilding and will do a better job by not using old rotten wood, such as would have been the case if former unsuccessful candidates were to hang on.
The bronze party has its niche and that is unchanging even though they garnered more support last election, which was really anti-Harper sentiment.
