On rare occasions a politician comes along who really cares and is performing his elected task the way it should be!
I recently had a critical issue and needed to contact someone who could give me information. I emailed the premier and he put Mike Nixon in contact with me. Mr. Nixon is our elected MLA for Porter Creek South and believe me, we are very lucky to have him! Mike came to visit me, listened to my woes and sprang into action. He referred my worries to the correct sources and has kept in contact with me on a regular basis making sure that I am being looked after.
As I said, this was a very critical issue for me and Mike has been more than supportive. He doesn’t know if I voted for him or not and he doesn’t care. The problem I have is not within his assigned portfolios but he has been working non-stop for me anyway. It’s his job to be my advocate and he has more than accomplished this task.
This is a non-political letter of recognition and thanks to Mr. Nixon. I appreciate your concern, support, confidentiality and advice.
