I was shocked and dismayed to see the Yukon News label Graham Cole, a retiring automotive machinist, a “grease monkey” on the front page of Wednesday’s paper. Because you seem unaware, I am informing you the term grease monkey is a slang term for a mechanic which has a belittling, or negative context. To give you a little perspective, it would be like calling a journalist a hack.

Certainly, you would never intentionally insult someone in your paper, but your choice of words is offensive and deserves an apology.
