Open letter to the Students of F.H. Collins:
I would like to start by congratulating you all on your efforts so far to raise awareness about your lack of a gym and the issues that this will cause you in the coming years.
The Boys and Girls Club of Whitehorse fully supports you in your efforts to secure adequate recreation facilities, but moreover would like to applaud you for working with the decision-makers and assuring that your voices have been heard.
All too often the voices of us adults become loud and clamouring and it is easy for us to find the arrogance to think we know what’s best without consulting those who would be most affected. I would implore you to please keep up your demonstrations, petitions and letters to your MLAs and ministers. If this is something that is truly important to you then make sure everyone knows, and don’t make it easy for them to forget. You are an example to us all, keep up the great work.
