Open letter to Whitehorse Mayor and Council:

Stop using the gas tax rebate as your private slush fund for eco-nut projects. The latest was spending our gas tax rebate to make compost rot faster. Stop that sort of frivolous spending.

The gas tax rebate is intended to be used to improve transportation infrastructure so we use less petroleum, not to make compost rot faster. Got it?

Use the gas tax rebate money to make public transit cheaper. Use it to subsidize free transit during peak traffic periods. Use it sensibly, don’t fritter it away on your latest green fad project.

Especially when you continue to raise our taxes to finance this sort of financial mismanagement.
