I was born and raised in the Yukon. My parents adopted a dog from the shelter 16 years ago, and my family did the same this past summer.

I love the shelter, the cause, all of it.

I subscribed to the Facebook page for the shelter this year, and am now reading quite often about what the shelter desperately needs. Usually the list includes food, bleach, or toys. They have forgotten some things:

* transparency

* co-operation with government authorities

* new board elections

* some G.D. decency!

I don’t want to lose the great service this place provides for animals, but people who say they want to help are more of a hindrance. They need to back off.
